Be a Favorite
Favicons (as seen in the image to the right) are tiny images that display next to the search box of a browser when a site has downloaded.
And when I say tiny, I mean 16 pixels by 16 pixels.
Most logos will turn to mush at this size, so favicons need to be designed specially so they will render well and still visually represent the logo of the website.
The favicon has an .ico extension, and is usually called favicon.ico. Icon-maker software is required to convert the original file to the ico format.
